Menkominfo, Threatened Blackberry if it does not Block Porn Sites



Minister of Communications and Information Technology (Menkominfo), Tifatul Sembiring, threatening to shut the Blackberry service in Indonesia if Research in Motion (RIM) refused to block pornographic content.

Currently, the blocking of pornographic content, intensively conducted by by the Menkominfo in Indonesia.

Blocking porn sites, is the mandate of Act number 44 of 2008 on Pornography, especially chapters 18 and 19, therefore it is the Menkominfo will not hesitate to shut the Blackberry service who is already working with six operators in Indonesia.
