5 Cups of Coffee A Day of Aggressive Hold Attacks Breast Cancer
Breast cancer does not respond to various drugs, chemotherapy therefore often the only option. Chemotherapy feared because women do not want to look bad change, such as the risk of hair loss.
The researchers said, those who regularly enjoy a hot drink far less likely to develop estrogen receptor negative breast cancer, especially if they drank five or more cups of coffee a day.
In the study, experts from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm found coffee drinkers had a lower incidence of breast cancer than women who rarely drink. They analyzed data from nearly 6,000 women past menopause.
The women who drank five cups or more a day had decreased levels of 57% risk of breast cancer than those who drank less than one cup a day.
Based on a report in the journal Breast Cancer Research, the scientists concluded that the high level of coffee intake per day was associated with a statistically significant reduction in breast cancer is estrogen-receptor negative among post-menopausal women.
As reported by Dailymail, the authors also found a slightly reduced risk in all types of breast cancer. Although the correlation was significant enough to consider a number of other factors such as age and weight that must be taken into account.
The researchers speculate that coffee contains compounds that affect various types of breast cancer in a different way. This fits in with the finding that drinking coffee may reduce breast cancer risk overall, although experts say further studies are still needed.
