Tiarajudens eccentricus - Large fangs, this Ancient Animals Vegetarian.

National Geographic - Equipped with a gun in the form of a creepy long teeth, Tiarajudens eccentricus turned vegetarian.

T. eccentricus not only have a pair of long teeth, but on the palate big toothed ancestor of mammals was studded teeth. According to investigators, the tooth will quickly replace the missing tooth, as in sharks.

Archaeologist Juan Carlos Cisneros, who found the fossil T. eccentricus in Brazil, said that the mammals this seems like a combination of several different animals. "Teeth series such as horses, fit for cutting and pulling plants; molar for chewing, and fangs like a sabertooth cat," Cisneros describes T. eccentricus.

This finding is surprising for Jörg Fröbisch who is also an archaeologist. "We usually do not suspect there will be a large fanged carnivorous," said Fröbisch who was not involved in the study.

The researchers suspect that such big teeth used to repel or frighten predators. They also reveal the possible use of these teeth to fight with other species.
